Trying to get started here
It´s probably about time I just got started writing something here.
We are still stuck in Mexico. We came up in August for what I thought was going to be two weeks and we are still here. We just hired a new GM yesterday, who should be starting in two weeks, so hopefully we will be able to get out of here soon and get back down south!!
We are heading down to Argentina on Thursday for two weeks (yeah!), then will be back here for a couple of weeks to get the new GM oriented, and then we hopefully will be back in Argentina for the end of the year. Fingers crossed!!
The new hotel, Ulaa, is supposedly opening December 1. This is just over a year after Amilik was supposed to open, and didn´t. So we´re trying something else. Amilik will be transforming into something else and will reappear next year. More info later!
Since I´m pretty bad about keeping in touch with everyone, and since I was inspired by Katie´s blog, I thought this was the best way to keep everyone updated on my whereabouts. Though I still feel like I have nothing much to say!
Hello! You will see. This blogging thing is great. Especially if you have had a bad day…it makes whatever happened funny. It sounds like you guys have been really busy. My friends are very impressed that I have a friend that is in the hotel business in South America. It seems very exotic. I am sure it is not as exotic as it sounds. At first I was worried about weirdos, but thus far I have only had 2 spam type of posts. I changed a couple of things about my site and how people could find it, like blocking it from google searches and the like and so far there have been no spams. I am still a little nervous about putting my kids up there for the world to see, but my other friends say that it is ok. It has been nice because I can share things with a wider variety of people. Anyway, I will keep in touch. Keep up the blogging!
