Still no clue as to what to do.
I’m really not into attempting it again, but I want to get this out of the way. The question: do I wake up at the ungodly hour of 5 a.m. to get a good spot in line, or do I just buy one?
A moral issue that you don’t get to deal with in other countries…hope to figure this out before the week is over.
Kind of like buying tickets from a scalper? Standing in line at an ungodly hour would be the most “right” thing to do, but if people get in line specifically to sell the spot, and it is not against the law, is it really that bad? Kind of like sending an assistant on an errand? As you can see, I made a couple assumptions about the situation…
It reminds me of that lady from CSU Northridge who was our faculty advisor in Spain (the one that came down from Madrid occasionally). I remember her saying her daughter lost her US green card and spent three days in line in LA to get a new one. Maybe every country makes their resident extranjeros stand in crazy lines (although you would think most of these things could be done electronically these days).
Right, like buying tickets from a scalper. I guess it’s not really all that bad, but I still felt weird accepting,so I didn’t. And then didn’t accomplish what I needed to do. So it was counterproductive, and I still wasted hours of my time.
You would think these things could be done electronically, yes!! And they should be. I don’t know why they feel the need to handwrite my official address in my ID.
Things like this are SO much easier in the US (except for the green card incident you mentioned). The good thing is, I can vote here, which I absolutely love, IF I can manage to get it done.
Since my leg is still killing me, and I have no plans to get back to the gym, I may give another try on Tuesday morning. I guess I will buy the spot.
And now I have once again finished a marathon session of catching up on you blog! I hope you leg is feeling better by now.
Thanks! Actually, it is. Saw the traumatologist a couple of weeks ago, and I’m still going to the kinesiologist twice a week. I got to run a little bit today! So happy. And my tibia didn’t hurt at all. Yeah!
