I [heart] MacStation

May 26, 2009

My iPod’s battery stopped working. I noticed this last night, when I had left it charging, and it worked fine while it was plugged in, but when I unplugged it, it was totally dead. The battery appeared to be charging when it was plugged, but in reality it wasn’t at all.

I first thought I’d have to take it in somewhere on my trip up to the US in June, which of course would be a pain because the time they fixed it, I’d be back here. Then I decided stop by the MacStation that’s right next door to our office. I figured it would be a long, complicated process to get it fixed, that they would probably ship it up to CA and it would take forever to get it back.

Was I wrong.

I walked in just before noon, explained the problem, they checked it out, found another store in the city with exactly the same model, and said they’d have it in either late today or tomorrow. I was out of there in less than 15 minutes. In less than four hours, they called to say it was in, I stopped by, and in about 10 minutes, they gave me A NEW IPOD.

I am still amazed.

I [heart] MacStation. They are the BEST!! This is a level of service that totally blew me away. Especially since my original iPod was purchased in the US.

Love. Them. So grateful!!

Now it’s charging. Can’t wait to reload it with my music tomorrow morning.
