Plant murder

There was a time when I was good with plants. I worked several summers at a nursery and garden supply store, and things usually didn’t die on me.

However, those days are over, and this houseplant just died over the weekend. I feel absolutely terrible.

After staring at its deadness over the past two days, I took it out of its pot this afternoon, composted the stem and roots, and reused the soil to pot up our oregano plant.

I feel like a murderer.

    Ohh :/
I’m actually experiencing the same with my herbs garden… they are almost all dead, and it’s super sad. And I didn’t do anything, I just look at them and feel terrible.
I should recycle them at least :-(

Definitely start a little compost bin, that will make you feel less guilty about them dying. What are they doing, crunching up or wilting and turning brown? Herbs generally need a lot of sun and heat. I wonder if SF weather is warm enough for them??
