First Organic Delivery

April 14, 2010

We received our first delivery of organic fruit and veggies yesterday afternoon! They are super fresh and look gorgeous. My only complaints: the pears are not yet ripe, which confuses me since they’re supposed to be not just organic but locally grown…if something isn’t ripe, then why are they offering it on their site already? And a few of the plums were overripe, which was disappointing because they’re that delicious variety of plum that we had in our garden when I was a kid.

So next week I’ll try a different provider, and we’ll compare. So far, we’ve identified two things that we’re going to continue to purchase, even if they’re out of season: tomatoes, for the lycopene, and kiwis, which Agus cannot live without.

Oh yummy, nothing like fresh produce.
Hope the nest order is in prime condition.

I loved seeing all the colors in the box! Gorgeous. We’ll see how the next place fares.
